Edinburgh Steiner School

Coeducational, Nursery, Junior, Senior, All Through, Day School

In line with the rest of Europe, the start of formal learning is delayed until the age of six years. We offer a strong international focus with an emphasis on helping our pupils to become creative, felxible and entreperneurial learners. Our innovative approach to education includes the 'Main Lessson' - a topic which is continuously studied for up to two hours per day over four weeks. While pupils at other schools become increasingly specialised as they move towards their exam years, our pupils continue to recieve a broad based education.

Accepting Pupils Year Round

In contrast to most of the capital's other independent schools, new pupils can start their Steiner Waldorf education at any point in the academic session. Edinburgh Steiner School's admissions procedure has no academic entrance exam. It welcomes pupils of all academic abilities, valuing them for what they bring to the school community.
