The Compass School Raises Over £1700 For Children In Need

Children, parents and staff at The Compass School, Haddington have raised over £1700 for Children In Need!

They achieved this amazing sum by holding a ‘Wear What Makes You Feel Good’ Day on Friday 13 November. Everyone who took part wore whatever clothing they felt makes them feel positive and happy and not surprisingly, there were a wide range of outfits on show: from superhero costumes to sports kit; from smart suits to stylish dresses! At the same time, families were asked if they could make a donation in support of the charity, Children In Need.

Headteacher, Mr Mark Becher, said: “We have been absolutely delighted by the support that has been provided to this initiative. On what was World Kindness Day, our families and friends have been extremely generous in supporting Children In Need and the many causes across the country it supports. Given the gloom and despondency of the current year, the Pupil Council wished to have a day where children and staff could celebrate what makes them happy and consequently we had a very colourful and vibrant ‘feel-good’ day at school.

We have been once again been amazed by the generosity of our families and friends and we are so pleased that we have been able to raise such a significant amount for this important charity and support the tremendous work with children that it enables across the country.”
