SISFA u18s final: Scotland beat England 3-0

SISFA u18 Boys team went down to York this week to play their English counterparts. Scotland beat England 3-0 to record Scotland’s best ever result in the annual international.


Two Heriot’s boys were in the Scottish Independent Schools team, Angus and Ali helped the Scottish Independent Schools’ FA National team beat their English counterparts, Ali scoring the 2nd goal. Head Coach Jamie Hawkins was fulsome in his praise of his team stating, “I am very proud of my players, who were selected from all over Scotland: theirs was a

superb performance.”

George Heriot’s School under 18's - the first time an independent school football team has reached the cup final.


George Heriot’s School Senior boys’ Under 18 football side has had its most successful season, finishing third in the Lothian League which includes both state and independent schools, and will play Royal High School on Friday 10th May in the Final of the Lothians Cup at Spartans Ground ko 7.15pm. Coached by ex-pupil and SFA licensed, Jamie Hawkins, this is the first time an independent school team has reached the cup final.

Fantastic win George Heriot's U18 boys football team. Beating Ross High on penalties to book their place in the final of the Lothian Cup. This is a fantastic achievement, well done to all players and Mr Hawkins!
